Leadership
Spiritual Theme of the Month June 2026 Leadership
INSPIRATIONAL: Seek and learn from inspirational leadership, then become it. I am positive. Not because it is ‘good,’ or ‘the right thing to do,’ or because ‘It gets me to heaven.’ I am positive because I want to be in that energy; I want to live and direct my life from that perspective and vibration; being in it is healthy and inspirational. As a matter of fact, I can utilize that inspirational energy by practicing being the Real Me through service. The first part is to see people as my greatest asset and opportunity, to give & receive. The second part is to work with my intuitive gift and lift people to a higher state of awareness, wherever
I can. That is what those many prior powerful and inspirational leaders did for me . . . now I am the one becoming inspirational and powerful.
OBEDIENT: Leadership is largely about being obedient. I must believe in myself. This shows up as integrity. Whether good times or bad I must believe, especially through bad habits or confusion. Those challenges come when I break my inner laws: being disloyal to who I really am or acting obedient to outer causes rather than my purpose. Regardless of my messes or successes, it is important to remain humble and obedient to my true-feelings and guidance. This will allow me to grow without
suffering. Another valuable motivation is ‘opportunity’ and ‘time.’ Should I become arrogant, or rebel against my insights, I begin losing the ability to advance spiritually — I can get caught, waste opportunities and blow timing — and I miss the moment. So, a little obedience to my life’s plan really does go a long way.
PRACTICAL: What could be more practical than inner leadership. If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that spiritual matters are simple and practical. Complexities and theories eventually lead to limbo and confusion by clinging to limited ideas or physical things. There is nothing wrong with “ideas” or “things,” of course, they are important and useful . . . so long as I do not become possessed by them. On the other hand, when I recognize that my opportunities, relations and situations are a means-to-an-end, everything becomes clear — I know where it all fits. Working with ‘spiritual energy’ is a practical way of life rather than worship or ideology. Here are the facts: “God helps those who help themselves.” When I recognize that God is a tremendous power within me I take charge of my life.
FOLLOW-THROUGH: Leadership is a pre-requisite for successful follow-through on spirit’s plan. In the process of becoming wisdom, becoming a master soul, I need the ‘courage’ to do my work here. There have been many times when I have fallen or drifted into the dark, and courage is what enabled me to move forward and expand rather than shrink or diminish. My willingness to follow-through on my life’s work, even when I am afraid or don’t know ‘how,’ allows spirit to trust me (and me to trust myself!). I gratefully recognize there is a bigger picture I am part of. This frees me to accomplish & achieve, while still being at-ease and having fun. Being a leader-of-myself is not something I can abdicate, but rather a virtue to follow-through with. It is how I find myself ‘at home’ wherever I go and whomever I encounter.
LIFE FORCE: Expressing leadership is expressing life force. I need to distinguish between being “greedy” and being ‘loyal-to-myself.’ The word “selfish” can unfortunately stimulate guilt, rejection, and even confrontation. But the dirty little secret is, if I don’t have a strong sense of ‘self ’ I am operating on nothing, wholly without life force energy. I have often heard said that the ultimate is selflessness. This is a material (or physical) way to look at things and there is some truth to it . . . just not all the truth. The bigger picture (and spiritual prospective) is the more I truly love myself, the more that love will expand to encompass people, the world and the universe. It is my life force expressed. Spirit loves working with such kind of souls. It is the manifestation of leadership, regardless whether I am leading or following. So here it is: I am a soul with a purpose & a plan. Does that not say it all? I don’t have leadership, I am leadership.
