People

People just want to understand “What the hell is going on?” There are so many opinions, stories, myths, explanations; do you need another one? Yes, why not?
Life is confusing. You just want to be happy. But you must work to survive. You want to feel safe and secure, that means you must work, live in a house or rent an apartment, pay taxes and bills. You want to have fun, but time is limited because you must work. You want to spend time with friends and family, but you must work and earn money to pay the bills-no time for social.
Of course, this is one viewpoint-some people are born rich and don’t have to work.
But no matter your social status; being human comes with some intrinsic drives. Maslow called them needs.
The best way to understand something is to simplify it. Take it apart, analyse the parts and find out how it works.

You can do that with life.
Life is simple. It has two parts:
·      A conscious part-what you can see, touch, hear and know;
·      And an unconscious part-that you can also see, feel, hear and know, but in a different way.
Sometimes the boundaries between these two are blurred.
This blurring is what causes the confusion.
The conscious part is the Material World. It’s your house, car, furniture, food, media, etc.-all the stuff you deal with when you are conscious and awake.
The unconscious part is like the Spiritual World. It’s your thoughts, feelings, emotions, dreams, desires, fulfillment, beliefs, etc. All the stuff you can’t see with your physical eyes but can see with an inner vision-a daydream you can call it. Or what you hear not with your physical ears, but an inner ear, like a conversation with yourself or hearing music or even tinnitus (where does that sound come from? The Spiritual World?)
You have feelings, yearnings, desires. You can’t touch them with your hands, but they do make you feel a certain way. You have hopes and dreams, usually for a better life, a new car, a dream vacation, a spouse or mate. All intangible-but alive in a different world.
Sounds pretty woo-woo. But there it is. You live in two worlds at the same time. Science calls it conscious and unconscious.
Religion calls it the head and the heart. Society calls it death and taxes.
You can be sure of one thing. If you were born on planet Earth you are going to die. And in the meantime, you get to pay your taxes.
This is a simple explanation. So, ask yourself. Do you agree with this, or do you have a better explanation-without getting too intellectual?
Let’s take a closer look as the devil is in the details.

Where to start? When you were born? Before your parents were born? Back to Adam and Eve? The beginning of time?
How big of a picture do we want to look at? Let’s start at the beginning.
One of the basic problems in explaining life is determining what it is. What are the facts of life?
Better yet, what is a fact?
Facts are the basics. Water is wet, fire is hot. Up is away from the center of the Earth and down is toward the center of the Earth.
You live in two worlds at the same time. Are there two different sets of facts?
You bet there is.
You live in two different worlds. Each with its own parameters, limitations and reason for being.
Your Material World is your life on planet Earth. It began when you were born and ends when you die. Typically, a span of approximately 100 years-give or take. It has things to measure time, distance, weight, age, etc.
The Spiritual World has very few limitations. It has always existed. It actually has no limitations-nothing to measure. A dream can seem like a lifetime but only last a few seconds. Some people call the unconscious the dream world.
The whole universe is part of the Material World. When you die you don’t drift off into space-to a heaven beyond a cloud or to a hell in a fiery cave. It doesn’t exist-except in your imaginations-which is the Spiritual World. Yet we may think it is real; i.e. a part of the Material World.
Are there stars in the Spirit World? When you close your eyes, you are in the Spiritual World. Do you see any stars? When you go outside at night and look at the night sky you see stars. When you close your eyes where do they go?
It’s not that they have ceased to exist, but the perception of them has. It’s like when you go to a movie. When you’re in the theatre you watch the movie-the Material World. When the movie is over, you exit the theatre (he Material World) and enter the Spiritual World. The movie still exists, but you are not part of that drama anymore, and it keeps replaying without you.
Life can be compared to a movie. It is a convenient way to think of it. It has a plot, players, scenery and acts. Everyone has their own script, their own stage directions, their own entrances, exits, scenes, costumes, etc.
All these are part of the Spiritual World. The Material World is like the theatre, the building that is just there. It just exists. It sits there until someone enters and turns the lights on.
You leave the theatre every night when you go to sleep. You enter the theatre every morning when you wake up.
“All the world is a stage…”          Shakespeare.
So I’m not making this up. This is not my original thought.
Where does the confusion come in?
Everyone in the theatre has their own script.
It’s like a busy downtown business center. Everyone is going somewhere else. All in a hurry or late. All thinking about something else or wishing they could be somewhere else, or someone else.
Life is a hustle, bustle. Even people who have lived together for 20/30 years often do not know each other-they don’t know each other’s script.
Everyone keeps their script hidden. Everyone is playing with a poker face-keeping their cards close to their chest. Don’t let anyone see your script; you become vulnerable if you do. Most are not conscious of their script, it’s been smothered by other ‘more important’ scripts. In fact, most of don’t know what their script is-the reason it’s kept secret is they don’t know what it is themselves.
Most are using a script that’s been handed to them by Society, by Religion or by Science.
Religions tells you what is right or wrong. “Go and sin no more.”
Science tells you what is good or bad. “Don’t eat that you’ll get sick.”
Society tells you what is yours or not yours;
